PODS Swimming
Learn to swim program.

Age Group II
Introductory level to competitive swimming. Swimmers must have knowledge of all four competitive strokes. Focus in this group is on all the fundamentals and technique. The swimmers at this level will be introduced to simple training techniques and improved endurance, all while having fun. A structured dryland program consisting of calisthenics will be introduced. Typically ages 6-12. Practices are held three times per week for 1 1/2 hours.

Age Group III
This is the final level of the Age Group Program. The focus will remain on fundamentals, technique, improving endurance and preparing the swimmers for Junior level swimming. Additional training techniques will be introduced and the dryland program will be expanded. Typically ages 9-14. Practices are held four times per week for 1 1/2 hours.

Junior I
This group begins the preparatory phase to Senior level swimming. The swimmers at this level are generally working towards continuing their progression or are looking to maintain conditioning to remain competitive in High School swimming. Improved endurance, stroke technique and racing strategies will be stressed at this level. Typically ages 12 and over. Practices are held four times per week for 2 hours.

Junior II
This group is for swimmers who are making a more serious commitment to swimming at the club or High School level. While technique will continue to be stressed, it will be done within the structure of increased training. Additional meet opportunities will be provided to introduce swimmers to higher levels of competition. Double practices will be introduced. Typically ages 13 and over. Practices will be held five days per week for a total weekly practice time of 13 hours.

Senior
Swimmers in this group have decided that they wish to participate at the highest levels within the sport of swimming (Sectionals, Junior Nationals, Senior Nationals, Olympic Trials) and they are willing to commit to the time and work required to achieve those goals. Swimmers will be placed in this group only upon request of the swimmer and after a meeting with the coaching staff, swimmer and parents. Practices will be held six days per week. Double practices are required. Total weekly practice time of 18 hours.
